There is no fairness or consistency in TPC; so just because you have it in your cove, it may not be the case for everyone. And just because everyone else has it, doesn't mean you will. Except crashing, everybody has crashing!

Even though step 1 says "what do whales and dolphins know? Tap 10" I tapped 2 dolphins and 1 whale it only counted as 2. I don't think whales count.

Another LTQ I won't be doing.... If I can somehow get 7 more rubies, the monolith will give me a nice lift in income.

I can confirm that whales do not count. Well not in my game anyway.

To those who have already purchased the monolith, can you buy multiple monoliths? I'm thinking I could really max out my income if this loophole exists...

A massive mermaid spin task for those not paying for Rubies. It looks like a quest to reward paying customers. I will still give it a go, but am far from confident. Ach well ... what is a game if it is designed for you to people to win everything, every time (hint: Answer = Something akin to "not really a game any more" ;-P )?

Will post other steps in a bit..if required
How does the Monolith's 20% work? The 2 merchants you tap first will forever produce 20% more coins? The 2 merchants closest to it?

What is close? Up to how many merchants? All merchants 1 plot away from the monolith?

  18. #18
When You go to place it it should show you a pink box surrounding it and everything that pink box touches (i think it's pink) will get the bonus. usually it covers buildings directly next to it on 4 sides and, if you can fit it in, on the four corners as well, so 8 buildings all together can be affected if placed just right....

I just placed it and its building I got 5 merchants in the quad that show 20% upgrade when I placed it. So I relocated my top 5 current highest earning merchants in the quad. May be able to work on it and get one more in but I'm off to sleep another 12 hr shift tonight!

How many other income-multiplying bonus objects have been offered in the past?

I really wish that the quests that require spending rubies would be marked somehow, rather then us finding out in step 2.

Considering that all I have left to do in this game now is to kill Hannibal enough times to get the Patroan key and build that tree, and then do Atlantis when it eventually shows up, even the nifty 20% bonus item isn't worth much to me. I already have all the coin-purchasable merchants, all the crafted merchants, and several of the decent-paying ruby-purchased merchants. So I get several billion coins per day now. An extra 20%, on even my highest paying merchants, would only get me more coins, which I have very little left to spend them on.

    I'll pass.

Jezzz! I already bought rubys now up to 4 times to finish some of the quests because never receive coconuts and canvas's. That is a lot of rubys to spend when I don't get the crafting material to finish!

I jumped in the ships last week BUT all I pulled out was SEAWEED!

Now there is a monster in the waters I think I will pass on this one!

I think seems to me that PG has been pretty consistent. Quests that start on Monday/Tuesday are ruby based and Quests that start on Thursday/Friday are coin based. For someone who has been playing as long as you have, would you not agree?
