    It is finished

According to my Profile, I first logged into this forum on 10/17/13 and now this morning on 10/17/17 I received no further re-runs of tombs. I have reached the end.

    This seems appropriate.

It has been a fantastic ride here. From the learning experience of the Day Realm to my well documented need to organize lists.

Thank you all for your wit and helpfulness and even for the debates.
Special thank you to Spanish eyes for bestowing on me my nickname of Professor.

I had considered collecting rubies until I got banned, but, I decided that would make me sad. So I will just move the game to the last page of my iPad with Hidden Agendas and Night at the Museum. Old friends in the back of the closet.

All I can come up with is the quote from the movie the Agony and the Ecstasy:
"When will you make it end?" "When I'm finished."

    I am finished.

    Farewell, everyone.

I wish you good fortune in the game.

Even more than that, I wish you joy and well being in the real world.

    Y

I’d stopped playing last year, maybe a year and a half ago. I was reminded of this game when I had to replace my ipad, and I opened it up and started playing again, but the game was missing some stuff I'd been used to. Imagine my surprise to log into here to find out whats up, only to discover the game is at an end....

I still have about a third of the game left to finish; day and night realms complete but only partway through the other two.

Kind of not understanding why they won't at least continue weekend events... seems they have enough artwork and themes to recycle them to a new batch of players, esp since the game is still available for download in the app store.

Sad. Really sad. This is one of the very few ipad games that actually held my attention for more than a few weeks.

I also miss the weekend events. I read the Hall Of Fame thread and it was both refreshing and sad. I actually deleted my game in January out of shear frustration at the inability to fix errors that stopped me from playing for weeks. I still pop into the forum every now and then.

As the song goes “Those were the days” I really miss all the fun and lively chatter on the forum and the great family of players.

For me, it has finally ended. Today I reached 400K rubies and I have to say I am disappointed that I wasn’t banned. Oh well, disappointment is probably an apt way to finish a game that I loved so much but came to a very lacklustre end.

To anyone that is still reading the forum, goodbye and farewell. It has been an interesting and enjoyable part of my life. I made some lovely friends, most of which have moved on to Seekers Notes. The highlight was meeting Wildflourgirl in LA. . My imagination has to conjure up the rest of you.

I’m realizing how grateful I am the weekend events have ended. At the time, they were so important. Now I ask myself, WHY!

Sadly, I am also at an end. I had been chugging along playing once a day and slowly gathering all the keys in the C of S, which I hadn’t bothered to do the first time, but those are now complete so there’s nothing left to do. Collecting rubies and shovels is pointless at this point. I’m not going to delete though, because the challenge passage is still good for a random scene nostalgia trip. And sure do miss this forum. Good to see that a handful of old timers still check in now and then.

Snarklady, I wish you well. I have not found any other game that holds my attention so instead I have turned to other interests.

Thanks Kiwi. Yeah, I do other stuff. Topmom got me into Midnight Friends, which I do play, but without the interest level. Many of the hidden object games i’ve Tried have objects way too small for my aging eyes, so I last a few levels and quit. So I play music, read, walk, kayak in summer, repeat. Stay well

What would the forum be without Reverend Igotahavit preaching one last time from the Church of My Back Porch! Ha, ha, I do love it so!

So, let's run down a few thangs:

    1) Jimbo, the world is most probably coming to an end as MY Eagles (yes, it's MY team) finally won the Super Bowl. (Yes, Snarklady, that was me, right there at City Hall front and center of the parade down Braod Street in the midst of the finest people in the world, my brothers and sisters of Philadelphia!) If anyone tells you that I was drunk, rowdy and very loud, IT'S ALL LIES! Ha, ha, ha!

    2) My alma mater did it again! VILLANOVA! Go Nova Nation! National Basketball Champs again! Jay Wright for President!

    3) I still play SP everyday. Collect rubies everyday! Of course I miss the World Events. My kids still wear the t-shirts PG sent when I broke 2 Billion on the Billionaire Bandit Scoring event (only to be later demolished by even greater talent - you know who you are).

    4) Speaking of the Bandits, I salute you all. We did great things and added something extra to the game - you can't say that for other games and other players!

    5) Kiwi, I hope you are still in good health! Raji, great to see that you are still around! Tassie, you're the best!

    6) I did suggest to PG that they remove the 400K ruby "banning" programming, for at least the forum members, if not for every player. That was back a few years ago and I had made several other suggestions via a rant one day. Maybe, they actually listened to me?? Nah, Ben Liu probably still throws darts at my photograph that I sent him which depicts me using sign language telling him he's #1 in my book for ending these games.

    7) Speaking of listening to me, how's my Chocolate Mama doing? Oh, Dark Angel, come out, come out wherever you are. Sending you all the best chocolates in the world, my dear!

    8) Since the Prof used a movie quote to put a nice pretty bow on the end-game of SP, allow me to do the same. The movie quote that most sums up the ending of SP for me: Tony Montana in Scarface - "This is so f**king bad, this is so f**king bad!" And the movie quote that best describes my exit interview for this game: Clemenza in The Godfather - "Won't see him no more . . . "
Paradise Cove - Leader of the Darkwings (PM me about joining our guild)

Remembering Nayjon (1970-2017), guildmate and lover of TPC. I'll miss you, brother!

    Secret Passages - Billionaire Bandits

The Billionaire Bandit club finished 78 strong and I'm proud of all who made this so much fun. Visit the Hall of Fame sticky thread for a list of Billionaire Bandits.

Several months ago, I realized I forgot The Monday Madness. I never played again. I can’t bring myself to delete the game. My icon still shows I have “3” items of attention, I’ll leave it till I don’t.

Thanks Gotta for asking. Coming up six years cancer free.

I have a new hobby now, hockey. No I do not play however all four grandchildren do, including my granddaughter. Two play house league as well as on select teams. I have spent so much time freezing my buns of in arenas I am not sure if I am ever going to thaw out. I ring the cow bell for goals scored and yell my head off when their teams score. Not quite the refined grandmother image.

Still does not make up for playing Secret Passages. Oh I really miss the weekend challenges.

So this really does appear to be the end of SP. The final nail in an already heavily nailed coffin. I can understand why they arenít supporting the forum anymore because there is hardly any traffic these days, but I hope the old posts will still be available to help any players still making their way through the game, even if they are unable to post. I donít play anymore, but I have such fond memories of this game. I miss everyone on this forum and Iím sorry to see it go. I guess all good things must come to an end. It ended a long time ago now, but it somehow feels more final now the forum is ending too.

I wish everyone the very best in life and I will always remember you fondly. Love and best wishes to you all xxx

Do you all have people posting still? I still play CL daily and am active on the CL sub-forum, but I have not played SP in awhile.

I had thought I was just about done with SP, just the occasional forum visit. I realise that was not quite true and my visits were like a comfort blanket and now that is being taken away from me. I guess it is time to let go of baby and childhood and to go out into the real world. Boy it looks scary out there.
    love to you all

To SE a belated Happy Birthday! Sorry I missed it but life has been busy as of late.

I will miss this forum. It has been a blast! I have loved getting to know so many people and all our discussions on topic and off. I only come here occasionally and missed all the discussion until today that it was closing down. It is sad to see it go.

So to all of you, enjoy life! Stop and smell the roses!

My very best to you, Ambassador SE, and to all the players here that have had a fun ride.
I might be able to read some of those books I have stacked by the bed.
And already spending a lot of time with grandchildren who are playing Hungry Hungry Hippo with me right now.
Well, the 5 year old is but the two year old is just making random moves with her pieces

TPC players made a new forum. If they do not mind maybe there could be a place for SP players to continue their discussion. They made a little "corner" for CL I think the PG players/ forum members should stick together. Why let a random new law take our forum community away from us?

I was sitting on my front porch...sipping morning coffee, scanning the PG forums. Grab the cup, fire up the iPad...thatís been the drill for the past several years. In the next few days that pleasurable addiction will bite the dust. I wondered what the absence of something I had made such a routine part of my life might feel like. I didnít have a DeLorean DMC-12 time machine, but I did have a comfortable lawn chair modified to whisk me Ďany which way in timeí I cared to go. I set the controls to ďsometime after May 25, 2018Ē and wheeeeeeee! so help me Marty McFly! away I went!!

So here I am in the future. Sitting on my front porch, sipping my morning coffee, iPad all fired up with nowhere to go. Well, nowhere I care to go this early in the morning. Most news is too mind-boggling to grapple with right off the bat. Dark times. The forums were uplifting for the most part, the threads a positive addition to the fabric of my day. The forums are gone. Iím surprised Iím still smiling.

Iím smiling because I know that you all are still out there somewhere, doing the things you talked about on this forum. SE, I know you are lounging by the pool at your Villa, pulling rose thorns from your tootsies...Jimbo, Debz, and Pippy, itís not noon yet and you have popped the first cork, Cheers!... Gravedigger, you are adding or subtracting something, counting all the stars in the sky maybe...Cos, youíre gardening...DA, youíre searching for the Perfect Chocolate...Cyber, youíre still looking for your Animal Herd. You get the picture, I could go on and on. You are still alive to me because of the things you have shared via this quirky community. Youíre in my thoughts. ďHow far can it be if you can think of it?Ē

I feel better now that I know what it will feel like after this fades to black. Iím setting the lawn chair controls back to the present...I had a busy day ahead before I decided to take this trip. I hope itís smooth sailing, time travel is paradoxical.

Speaking of Time...next month will mark the Five Year anniversary of the launch of Secret Passages.

    Thatís some serious ticktocks!

    Happy Trails
