Almost three years ago I started out by finishing #1 in the inaugural Weekend (Digging) Event. Three years later I went out like I started #1 (although the rewards this time were much better than back in the day).

Congratulations to everybody. Special congratulations to the real competitors out there, you know who you are. It's been fun competing against you the past three years. To the whiners and the haters . . . yawn. To PG . . . whatever.

    EDIT:

I know I've always said don't leave any bullets in the gun. Well, I guess I broke that rule. I left 35K rubies, 18K+ shovels, 12K+ PTs, 950+ E-Ores and a partridge in a pear tree on the table.

    EDIT2:

    Happy Birthday Meggymoooooooo!

[QUOTE=RosemaryL;619673]dgk - did you get a screenshot of your final leaderboard? If not, do you recall who won and their final score?[/QUOTE
I think I have it. I came in 57th without using a lot of resources, definitely not many players in our group.

Well done everyone! I'm sorry the events are over, but it's been a pleasure to play alongside you all.
Congratulations on impressive scores! The forum members dominated! Great job everyone! After the first hour of spinning netted me nothing, I wasn't really interested in the event. I ended up #30 in our group, which was well represented by forumers without me! My trip was good. We looked for property in FL and enjoyed the 80* weather and beaches all along the Atlantic.

Meggymoo, this one is for you!

Thanks for the sport, I hadnt done one of these for months.
Once again I've not realised we had a fellow forumer in our group. Sorry PC!, it's quite clear from Dr T's list that you are kid_glove but I just didn't click. Explains the timing of your scoring pattern as well. Interesting that you used 160k of rubies to get that score as I was obviously luckier than I realised in the casino and used considerably less. As a comparison would Meggymoo Kstam and GPF know roughly how many they used? Just curious that's all.

Maybe last dancer might reveal themselves now? I've been calling you Mao all weekend in my mind - would be nice to correct that!

Congrats to all the weekend warriors! Our group had awesome competitors - Meggymoo, GirlPolarFox, Tassie Ariana, Dr T, PC and others (sorry if I am missing anyone) who kept playing until the final moments ticked off. I burned about 150,000 rubies and crypted about 2,500 times (Since I was running short on rubies).

Happy birthday, Meggy! Hope you have a great day!!!

Okay, I've recovered enough now to come back in. This "playing" thing was hard work!! I, too, didn't realise kid glove was you, PC, but was thinking how wonderful it would be if the top 6 were all forumers, not because I have anything against non-forumers (as that was me only a few short months ago) but rather because I know how much this game means to the forumers, so hooray that it was you! I'm also hoping The Last Dance will join in the banter....

Kstam, I didn't get a chance to congratulate you this morning. Once I finally put 2 and 2 together and realised it was you, I knew that you would win the event for those no doubt lovely grandsons of yours. Had my grandma pulled off an achievement like yours, I'd have been darn proud of her. Now your grandsons can know they really do have the best muzzle! Well done!

Tassie Ariana, I'd never slotted before with even a quarter seriousness so chalk up my good fortune to beginner's luck. My outlay was under 120k of rubies and can honestly (and with some bemusement) say that I ended the event with more (yes, noticeably more) shovels and PTs than I started with. I landed the e-ore jackpot some 5 or more times and even got the 60 rubies on a free spin on my first spin round on New Year's Day. I was wonderingore if that was a PG gift that others got too.

I could have played harder, but had to keep muttering to myself "the casino is your friend" to do what I did as I actually prefer searching or digging. My aim was just to do my bit in representing the forum (with a side of dumping some assets) and was delighted in making a top 7 finish with such auspicious company!

Congratulations, Gotta! You'd been pretty quiet the last few events but didn't disappoint on this one.

Okay, you can go back to playing pirate now (if that is what you do on TPC)!

Usual Disclaimer shortened to UD means in my opinion, limited to my game, my style of play, in my experience, only speaking for myself, I am only giving my own opinion of my game play I would also cordially like to remind you that everyone not only plays differently but everyone had different games so what is right/works for one may not for another. It is NOT a one size fits all. I am still having fun.

SE, it was a really good birthday, thank you. Didn't do too much, nobody ever wants to so soon after Christmas and New Year. But I had lots of fun with my kids and I got some pretty amazing presents. I was a very lucky girl!

Tassie, I spent just over 100K rubies. I'd spent too much on SF recently to have more than that. The rest was all done in the crypt and how many PTs I used, I couldn't even hazard a guess. I used every PT I found in the dig sites or the casino and I scored a lot from the crypt due to still being capped on everything. My shovels were little used to me. I used ~ 350, but most of those were at the end when the relics were gone from the dig sites and I was looking for PTs.

I used 150K rubies. I had used 40K until Sheron kept pushing, but she could have pushed until the sky fell and it wouldn't have done any good. Isn't that right, Sheron?

Thanks all! Clearly I was lucky to finish 4th in our group and get the score I did. All the luck that was missing in my search for 81 seems to have transferred to the casino. I started the weekend with 85k of rubies and used every last one. I used every PT which probably amounted to around 1500 and used every shovel gained above the 10k cap. Crypting did provide a lot of the gold score and gold was also to be found in my Oxford dig site. Interestingly the first 20k of rubies spun only yielded 2 500's and 1 200 but then the 500's started dropping!
