I needed to find 143 drops (allowing for 2 Monday madness and 1 daily bonus)
I used net 5720 shovels (starting at 10300 and finishing at 4580), add on 63 (for 9 days x 7 from shovel smith anvil), add on 500 (this is a guess) for daily play and some quests for a total of 6283 shovels used
This means my find rate (in Oxford, all maxed out on PU) of 2.3%

I didn't record all my digging results but for 5 lots of consecutive 100 searches there were 6-7 drops available. Once I hit 5 of them but mostly it was 3.

Conclusion: I am OVER digging. This is my final personal goal, if I don't come up with another by 2nd February it may well be time to say goodbye.

Edit: in the process I gained 2265 PTs!
    Tassie:

First, super job. It's tough doig all that digging, but you accomplished your goal. Congrats.

(Don't tell my brother, Hollow, that I told him so. LOL)

You see, that 2-2.3% find rate for RTDs was something that I focused on discovering early with large sample size digs. Truth be told, I made that a focus (of several experiments) because I thought if it was actually higher or if digging in Oxford during non-event, non-12-stage quest times with PUs and shovels maxed made the find rate higher, that it would be an easy supplemental way to increase my ruby tree seedling totals, thus adding to my rubies to be used in the events. Kind of like a supercharging effect, get ahead of the competition and stay there. But after doing like 10K-15K digs like I did, there was no significant improvement over the approximate 2% find rate for RTDs that I saw.

I will say this again, I have done several small digs over the past week or so (roughly 40 digs here, 50 digs there) and I still see that distribution variance occurring where I have found 4 or 5 RTDs and seen about 3-4 more that I missed. It helped me complete another seedling. As I said in that other post, I can't guarantee that everyone will get the same variance or even any variance, but it seems like a viable strategy moving forward if you're in it for the RTDs.

You will have to repeat the dig/crypt cycle a few times, I have 33,633 iron ore

Still here and playing regularly. Mostly playing for rubies now to keep growing my gemstone collection. Hoping to get 10 of each. I will stay as long as new EG dune sites are released.

I'm still checking the forum regularly and opening SP about every other day to collect rubies. Thinking of continuing to collect until I make the 400K and get myself banned.

In the meantime I (along with hubby) are about to depart for a US holiday. Plans are afoot (and I sure hope it happens) for a lunch date with MrsFloBob in LA next week. Who would have thought that playing SP could lead to this.

Yes, I'm still around and noting the new Epoch Grove dune that arrives every Tuesday up in the sub thread as I promised jumajuma I would do when I took over the chore for her. Completing all the sites has always been my main goal (with the exception of Animal Herd that I can do nothing about ), and my game won't be finished until then. So I stick around and still read the forum and tease you when an opportunity presents itself and laugh at Salmo and Pippy's cartoons.

I'm still around and check the forum about everyday. I try to log in to the game a couple of times everyday but sometimes the incentive isn't there. My goal is every DR and NR site to 5* both regular and shadow mode (almost there, just a few dig sites and dune sites to get shadow mode). COS is done as far as I'm concerned. All regular and dig sites are 5 * (or key). I obtained all the dunes but have no plan to search until 5 keys. I am now plodding through E.G. and still have a long way to go. E.G. my goal is also just the regular and dig sites. However, I may need to do some dune sites for shovels. I'm trying to open all the sites without using rubies or e-ore. Right now I only dig on Mondays but have almost caught up in the sites I've searched and the sites I've dug out. I am hoping the dune sites recycle because even though I don't plan to search them I'd like to have them all.

Hope everyone has a great week. Enjoy the USA, Tassie, and say hello to MrsFlobob for us

I am still reading the forum however I deleted my game many months ago. Amazing how much more tine I now gave especially the weekends as I loved playing in the BB contests.

Have a great time in the US Tassie.

I still get my rubies each day and play the daily quest and get the droplets from digging on Mondays. I check the forum about once a week. I still enjoy the game, but the loss from excitement over the events and the less active forum has sucked much of the enjoyment out of it. I will continue to play while there is new content. I am still growing more ruby trees as I gain droplets/rubies. I am loyal, but my heart (and energy) is not in it the way it used to be.

Enjoy the US, Tassie! I wish I could meet you while you are here!

I'm still here. I have everything finished except maybe 15 digsites in EG so my goal is to finish them all, plus there are still new dunes arriving on Tuesdays - probably at least two more of those since they seem to come in threes. I have around 90,000 useless rubies, except for needing a few to open the digsites. But I still collect the rubies every day. I may manage to get enough droplets on Mondays to make another ruby tree - that will be 45. Odd that they only occur around 1/100 digs. That would take a long time without the 7 per week.

I suppose soon I'll just wipe it out but it sure has been fun.

I am still here and playing some. I am mostly trying to get the E.G. dune sites finished. I am working on the new ones and earning rubies to open the ones I missed. I have 7 more to finish but it takes a lot of rubies so it takes me almost 2 weeks to open each one. I do not play as much and I check the forum almost every day. Once that last dune site comes around I probably won't play much.
But since the weather is getting nicer I will spend more time in the garden though we had quite a bit of rain over the weekend so it will be a few days until gardening resumes. I have been spending most of my free time quilting. It seems a much more productive way to use my time though much more expensive.
Love your hummingbirds topmom. And it would be fun to meet you Tassie. Some pictures would be nice if the meeting happens.

I too check into the game once almost every day and the forum a few times a week. Mostly collecting rubies now, and today will put my 55th tree into cook! I do as many ruby trades as are readily available within one search cycle, and have a nice stash of 126k to use if I decide to open those early EG dunes that I missed. I think I still have 8 or so regular EG sites to open, and I'm pretty sure I'm just going to spend 1000 rubies each to open them rather than use keys and time. I'm not terribly interested in getting any of them to five stars though...I just kinda want to see what they look like.

Really looking forward to meeting Tassie and her husband next week!

Hi guys! It's been a while but I finally got back up and running! The sad news about Secrets ending has hit hard but I still have lots of scenes to uncover yet! My worry is the 3 months notice thing, I hope they won't pull the game before I have chance to finish it! I have missed you guys but will keep popping in so hopefully will get a chance to catch up! Maybe SE will have space in her inbox now!! Am also missing Monday madness but will still dig every week. Catch you soon then maybe!

Still hanging around. Even gave the dreaded Amber Room another shot, at least it gives a reason to try for a high score. I've now moved onto the A shrine, woohoo give me a year or two, not

TM, love the hummingbird and total blue sky pics, isn't that a bit of a weird place for a nest?
Visited a themed garden BH, got pelted with hailstones in China, ran for cover in Texas (nice warm greenhouse) got quite excited at finding a prickly pear. Seriously, it's a cactus?! No wonder I can never find it.

    Tassie and Mrsflobob have fun.

Babies flew away today. Missed it! Just an empty nest now. Prickly Pear. Yes it is a cacti and I have them all over my yard. There are many different varieties. One makes an amazing fruit. I will try to add some pix in the morning.

So you don't have MM on Mondays?
I still have it and using it to unlock EG dig sites. Basically find roughly the 81 items need for a digsite every week.
Boosted up the daily shovel bonus to 11 anvils. Whenever I close to a RT I dig more, then replenish the shovels in the Casino.
    Small happiness.
The 3 month notice will be sad. I still hope the daily quests coming back.
Maybe I will finish the digsites in EG at once and complete DR after that to finally go into the NR.

To be honest I am happy that I did not advance quickly, so I still have something to progress on.
Will I find another amusement after lvl 117? Possibly...

    Just my thoughts...

No MM for me definitely! Is really annoying! I still use 200 shovels but short of total items for a dig site by about 12. How many shovels do you use to get all items?

When I open my game on Monday and tap Kingston, the MM cloaked figure is not there. After I do a search, I return and the MM challenge is available. Your issue may be more complicated than this, but I thought I would throw it out there. I'm assuming you submitted a ticket...

Hey Wheels...you've returned just in time...big day coming up this week...
