    Crypting perfection?

Has anyone ever had a perfect sequence in the crypt during a midweek or weekend event and kept a screenshot? By that I mean finding 1 of the event item in row 1, 10 in row 2, 20 in row 3 and 50 in row 4 for a total of 81 items from a single power token. I would love to say I have, but the best I have achieved whilst finding 900 bracelets for the current midweeker is 3 out of 4. Of course with my luck, the one I missed was the 50.

    One time, I hit a 10, 20and 50. I was thrilled! Wish I had done a screen shot.

Not so good with today's crypting. I got 203 on my first 100 PTs, but only 86 on the second 100 PTs. Don't think I've ever done that bad on 100 PTs before! Needless to say, I've quit crypting for a while. May try again late tonight. Got to get the Ruby Tree Seedling!!!

I found it tough as well, but I kept going to 918 as I am travelling tomorrow. I used over 400 tokens to get to 900 Bracelets. I just hope the awarding of rewards goes OK this week. I have a screenshot anyway if needed.

Wow, Mike, I have never even thought of that one. Of all the times, I do think I got a 20 and a 50 once in my searches. This sounds like something crazy for Gota or Dr. Tammy to shoot for. I never do very well crypting. Get stuck in row two way too often. Hardly ever get 50. One of the worst places for me to go for anything. Have far more luck in the casino.....free drinks there too....

I hope when I inevitably choke to death on gummy bears people just say I was killed by bears and leave it at that....

I read a survey that said 82% of people enjoy being cuddled. But if the people on this bus are any indication, the real figure is, like 0%

My other body is in the Photoshop...

I drink straight out a of the wine bottle while cooking. I think that's what they mean by reducing it.

I don't remember ever being that lucky. As my LUSE casino scores indicate, it probably won't be me who manages it! If I ever do, I'll be sure to take a screenshot.

I wish the emojis worked for me I'd give you a high five!
Yesterday I crypted 80 times, I eventually ended up with 115 bracelets...I still have 50 PTs left, but in the 80 digs yesterday I only saw the 50, 2 times and never hit it either time. I mostly ended up with singles.
    Frustrating.

Today, the 50s have been showing much more often. I did manage to hit on one. I also saw two 50s at once, but did not hit them, followed immediately by one 50 in one of the same slots which I also did not hit! I finally got to 900 using 562 attempts... Pretty bad average at 1.6, luckily I had a slew of PTs from weekend digging!

Wow - only 280! Cost me 527 PTs.

Forum is acting up again - not updating after I posted and asking me if I wanted to leave the page. So I reloaded (and said I wanted to leave the page) and my post was there.

Well I ha 70 after two goes and made 195 after about 25. I have since only managed 1 more thingy after another 25 PTs and I've run out of shovels and tokens. I wasn't going to do the challenge, just had a dune to open and now I'm so annoyed I can find those last 5 to get the rubies!

Rosemary, you and I have the same luck!!! I have 280 bracelets and have spent 125 power tokens. Only got one 50 the whole time. Over 30 second row mummies. I quit counting after a while. I can't imagine how many PT's I would spend getting to 900.

I hit a 10,000 ruby jackpot two days ago and now have 7400 left and have replenished my PT's in the casino. Have so much better luck there!!

Just a warning. I did not receive my Ruby tree reward this morning for getting 908 bracelets. The item was checked on the reward, but my Ruby tree seed count did not go up. Take a screen shot before (which I did not ... Had one going into last weekend). I have submitted a ticket. All other rewards were added to my totals, but the Ruby tree seedling.

I received all my rewards. Now have 99 drops and just noticed that Day 21 reward is a drop! So at least by then I'll be crafting another seedling!

I got all my rewards including the ruby tree and my 15 droplets which gives me 95 so I may be doing Monday madness next week to get to 100 droplets.

I managed to get 80 PTs from the ads just in time for this pick event, and used up 70 to get 160 bracelets. Not even enough for the 150 rubies. I was sure that I'd get enough for some droplets but not to be. I actually hit the mummy in the second row six times in a row. And my average for hitting the green guy in the second row was way over the supposed 20%.

Do you get PT's from watching the ads? I only get a few measly shovels and some rubies!

dgk02 was talking about the PTs you get after watching 500 or 1,000 ads or whatever the accumulation was for that 80 power token reward.

Personally I would never use power tokens solely on the midweek event until I was power token rich. I would save mine for opening dunes.

Confused time. What supposed 20% are you talking about?

Ha, ha. I forgot about that. I presently have 160/300 ads for the next reward level.

In the 2nd row there is one mummy out of the 5 crypts. Statistically, one should "tap" a mummy crypt only once in every 5 taps. Jimbo has been complaining about this for ages, and rightly so. I too find a mummy in the 2nd row way to often than chance would predict. I don't see how any program can anticipate which crypt you will tap on the 2nd row, (unless one's pattern of tapping is consistent) but it sure seems like that is what happens.

Drummer. Now I understand but surely it is the igtharus principal all over again. If 20% is supposed to happen it wont ever.

I had a beautiful rant a long time ago about 4 in the back row. FOUR I screeched, and got louder. Invis tried to sit on me but I would not be appeased. I am very proud of that rant.

edit. Went looking for the rant and no joy yet. However I did find this https://forums.pocketgems.com/showth...l=1#post355337
    amused me no end.

edit2. Still cannot find my rant. What a waste of a good well written piece. It would show newbies how a well constructed one should be written.

Yes, and then I did get four second row mummies. No one even pointed out that I actually dodged all four of them out of respect for my outrage. It actually happened to me again a month or two ago, four second row mummies, but that time I caught a mummy. I quite frequently get two second row mummies, so would expect to hit one considerably more often than 20% of the time. As I have said before, hitting a few in a row is nothing remarkable after the fact - it has probability 1. You simply don't take note the vast majority of the time when you don't get several in a row.

I hesitated and waited a day to add this, but I was in almost the exact same "boat" as Hollow. I found 1,017 King Tut bracelets (more due to the daily quests) using 320 PTs. I also found 4 - 50s and, like Hollow, I hit my last 50 when I needed just 37 more to complete.

The reason why I'm writing this now is that I agree with the "undercurrent" of this thread, that the mummies get ridiculous. HOWEVER, I've written before about a strategy that I used (and used in this mid-week crypter) before for these and digging events. I keep telling players to dig and crypt, but if you see the dig sites and crypts going on extended "dry spells," then exit the dig site or crypt and re-enter. As I've always stated, there's no science or explanation that I can put behind this strategy, but it seems to work. When I do this (and I do it often), it seems to reset the site or crypt and reduces the bad outcomes. Maybe I dreaming this. Maybe it only works for me. But I breezed through this crypter this time using that strategy, and believe me, there were dry spells, 4 mummies on the back row, I hit 5 mummies in a row on th second row, etc., but I just exited and reset everything and the 10s, 20s, and 50s started flowing again.

And yes, in response to Lyn's rough theory, I do believe that PG has a programming algorithm in place for crypts and dig sites that analyzes the length of time you remain in those areas and the longer you stay in the dig site or crypt, the more (to a point) it reduces the probability of finding the "good" objects and, as such, increases the probabilty of finding the "bad" objects. I know that sounds like a good conspiracy, but too many players report the same thing that I experience. I can't tell you how many daily quests I have completed where a ruby was needed in a dig site, I dug several times, found none, exited the site, re-entered and, BAM, ruby on the first or second dig. Coincidence? Once, twice, maybe. But this has worked for me over the long haul. Plus, those laborious statistics that I compiled for the dig sites bears this out to a large degree. When I did those digs that used 200-300+ shovels, even the 1,000+ digfest, I stayed in the dig site and didn't exit and you can see how the "good" objects' find percentages decrease over the span of those long digs and the useless or "bad" objects' find percentage increases.

Not to mention, but I've always stated too that the crypts "loosen up" more as it gets nearer to the end. If you are working on opening a crypt, the last day before it disappears seems to be inherently easier to find unlocking relics than the first few days.
